Supporting Every Child’s Growth & Learning

At Early STEAM Learning Academy, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive in an environment where they feel safe, valued, and supported.

We welcome families of children with diverse learning needs and work collaboratively with parents, caregivers, and community professionals to help children reach developmental milestones through nurturing care and inclusive learning experiences.

What is IDEA?

The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) is a federal law that helps ensure eligible children with disabilities receive early intervention, special education, and related support services. IDEA supports children from infancy through school age depending on their needs and eligibility.

How ESLA Supports Children & Families

We understand that every child develops at their own pace. Our team works to create an encouraging environment where children can build confidence, independence, communication, and social skills.

We support families by:

  • Encouraging inclusive classroom experiences
  • Communicating regularly with parents
  • Partnering with outside specialists when appropriate
  • Providing structured routines and nurturing guidance
  • Supporting social-emotional growth
  • Promoting hands-on STEAM learning for all learners

Early Intervention for Younger Children

For infants and toddlers (birth to age 2), Tennessee offers support through the Tennessee Early Intervention System (TEIS)for children with developmental delays or disabilities. These services may include therapy and developmental support for eligible families.

If your child is under age 3 and you have concerns about speech, motor skills, behavior, or development, we encourage families to explore available resources.

Preschool & School Readiness Support

Children ages 3–5 may qualify for preschool special education services through their local public school district if eligible. Tennessee provides early childhood special education services for children who need additional support in learning and development.

Partnering With Families

You know your child best. If you have concerns about your child’s development, behavior, communication, or learning, we encourage open conversation. We are happy to partner with families and help connect you with community resources when needed.

Our Promise

At ESLA, we celebrate each child’s unique strengths. We are committed to creating a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive environment where every child can shine.
